‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ video: Donald Trump introduces the first task

We love “The Celebrity Apprentice” probably more than any person should love “The Celebrity Apprentice.” After all, you have to remember here for a moment just what this show is. It’s celebrities trying to earn money for charity, while doing mostly-ridiculous things that embarrass themselves royally.

At some point, we can only hope that there are more mechanical dogs, or Clint Black making a laundry commercial that is so inappropriate, we are not sure it would even air on cable.

Sadly, you are going to have to wait for some of these potentially-great moments to come to fruition. Instead, the preview below from the upcoming January 4 premiere teases what could be the pie-making showdown for the ages. Every first task of a season tends to be the two teams squaring off in a fundraising task, and this is no exception. The team with the most money at the end is spared, but since “Cake Boss” star Buddy Valastro is going to also going to judge the pies for an added bonus, they want to make sure that the quality is pretty good.

The two quick observations we have right now are as follows.

1. Gilbert Gottfried is clearly going to be a problem child for this team, which we basically love already.

2. Piers Morgan is an adviser, which means he will probably get into a nasty argument..
