‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 14 preview: ‘Is Alison A?’ mystery continues

While there are probably going to be at least a few answers when it comes to “Pretty Little Liars” resolved during tonight’s Christmas Special, the video below (first posted by BuzzFeed) suggests to us that one of the most interesting things that will be touched on is whether or not Alison really is still pulling the strings behind everything.

We can see in this video that clearly, Sasha Pieterse’s character is going to remain a major part of the show, and is probably not going to be up to any good. However, there’s a difference between being devious / dangerous and being “A,” and it feels almost too obvious at this point that she holds the title.

Still, you also have to wonder this: Who else would be important enough to this show for them to be “A”? At this point, there are not a whole lot of other candidates, and we’re not sure anyone would be satisfied if the villain is just some recurring person who shows up from time to time. The biggest shock would be if it is one of the Liars, but this would also change the narrative in a huge way, and you’d have to go back and explain away dozens of things, including how they were sending text messages to everyone while standing right in front of them.

There will be some answers coming by the end of the spring season … but given that there are still two more seasons, some will remain a mystery.
