‘Scorpion’ episode 12 preview: Christmas, Katharine McPhee, and a mission

CBS is making sure that “Scorpion” gets plenty of burn in the fall portion of this season. After all, it’s getting to air a full 12 episodes! That is many more than the average show receives, and this may be a sign that the show may want to try another show in this timeslot at some point later next year.

Before we get too far into that, though, let’s start things off here by sharing a little bit of what we know about “Dominoes,” which is the upcoming 12th episode of the procedural. Based on the short synopsis below from CBS, it definitely appears that there is going to be some drama for Katharine McPhee and company moving into the holidays:

“As Christmas approaches, Team Scorpion races to find a way to save a young boy’s life after he gets trapped in a beachside cave and drowning is imminent.”

After this episode, we presume that the show will be off the air until early next year.

While we believe that there is going to be all sorts of drama that is shown off during this episode, we do still believe that there is equally a whole lot to look forward to from this story. For example, it’s a chance to see how these geniuses ring in the holiday season for the first time! That is what makes a new show interesting, since you really get a chance to visit so many of these major milestones with the characters every step of the way.
