‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 10 preview: When does Joseph Morgan, cast return to The CW?

“The Originals” certainly unloaded quite a few surprises tonight, and with that in mind, you’re only human if you are spending some time wishing the show would be back on next week.

Sadly, it is not, and we are here right now to tell you that you are going to be waiting for a little while. According to SpoilerTV, the next episode of the show is not airing until Monday, January 19.

Why the long wait? The easy answer to that is just that The CW wants to ensure that there are as many new episodes that air in succession as possible without jamming in too many repeats at the same time. Can you really blame them? They don’t want to anger fans by throwing episodes against a wall.

Using their traditional formula, what you can probably expect from the remainder of the season schedule-wise is that new episodes will run again until the end of February or early March, and the show will probably then go on hiatus again until April.

One thing that we do know for sure: This show is never quite going to be the same again now that Rebekah has transported herself into a new body. It is possible that the end could be here when it comes to Claire Holt as the character (for now), but we are going to have some more news related to that soon enough. Stay tuned for more.
