‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Chris Soules suitor Alissa Giambrone fly high?
Today, ABC officially announced the entire cast for Chris Soules’ season of “The Bachelor,” and that to us means mostly one thing: A chance to start individually analyzing each contender! It’s a ridiculous, time-honored tradition here, as we try do this without spoilers and a completely unbiased eye.
As a way to preface this season’s articles, we will be doing one daily until the January 5 premiere, and the only information that we’re using for these ladies is their ABC profile and what little information we can find quickly online. For example, whether or not there are any major red flags or a past in reality TV. Also, we’ll probably have a ton of puns in the titles. It’s what we do.
We’re going in alphabetic order by first name, so the first contestant put in the spotlight is Alissa Giambrone!
Age – 24
Hometown – Hamilton, New Jersey
Occupation – Flight Attendant
Bio highlights – She seems awkward in a funny way, judging from how she fesses us to Facebook-stalking a guy, and then accidentally messaging him about it rather than a friend.
Positives – We couldn’t find anything that crazy about her, so we don’t get the impression that she’s on the show just for fame. She loves animals (great given that Chris is on a farm), and she also loves to travel and do yoga. We don’t know if Chris is a yoga guy, but given how much we’re probably going to see him shirtless this season, he must at least reasonably enjoy trips to the gym.
Negatives – She’s from a place where there are people constantly around, so Chris’ lifestyle could be a big change. Also, we wonder if her career could work given the commute it would take her to get to and from any local airport. Some jobs are more adaptable than others, but this could be tough for her.
Prediction – We don’t see it working out for Alissa and Chris in the end. With that being said, she is one of those contestants who could be gone the first night, or make it to around the final six or so. We don’t see her causing trouble, and her challenge may just be making a quick connection.
