‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16 spoilers: A Harry Hamlin script tease!
If you are a fan of “Law & Order: SVU,” let’s hope that you are also patient. There is still not another episode airing until a week from Wednesday, and that is when you are going to see “Pattern Seventeen.” Not only that, but this is also going to be an episode featuring Harry Hamlin (“Mad Men”) as a Deputy Chief in Rollins’ old stomping grounds of Atlanta.
We’re going to return to the city for at least a little while during this upcoming episode, and you can get a small tease of this HERE courtesy of showrunner Warren Leight on Twitter. This entire conversation certainly feels as though it is stuffed full of conflict, and that is clearly just a small sampling of what you are going to see in the entire episode.
Let’s just hope that this episode is one that makes this long wait worth it, and gives us another strong case that brings the show in a different direction. One of the great things about “Law & Order: SVU” creatively is how different they manage to make one story from the next week to week. When you’ve been on the air for as long as they have, it is inevitable that you are going to touch on similar themes on at least a few occasions. In the end, the only thing that you can really hope for is that in the process, you manage to at least give many of them different flavors.
Since the wait is still a long one, we’ll have some more news on the subject of the show soon.
