We really hope that Idina Menzel loves the “Frozen” universe. After all, we imagine that she is going to be spending quite a bit of time moving forward performing this famous “Let It Go” song in various venues.
Monday night, the Broadway great performed on ABC’s CMA Country Christmas Special, and she took tok the stage with Jennfier Nettles in order to perform the song in front of a “Frozen” backdrop. While this song may not be a traditional Christmas carol, we feel like the impact of the Disney movie globally is basically going to make it into one in some shapes and forms.
Also here, you do have to remember that “Frozen” is a Disney movie, and ABC is owned by the House of House. Therefore, it is a perfect little tie-in so that everyone in the end is happy. Elsa is actually a part of “Once Upon a Time” this season, but she is played by Georgina Haig.
The one thing that we will say here? Nobody comes close to performing this song as well as Menzel, who has one of the best voices arguably in all of the country. She and Nettles comes from different backgrounds musically, but they do blend together rather well. They hit some great notes, and the performance last just about as long as we wanted it to for a show like this, meaning that it felt us wanting more.
We’ll have to wait to see what some of the ratings for this show are tomorrow, but we imagine that ABC won’t want to let go this particular special anytime soon.
