‘Constantine’ episode 7 preview: What lies ahead for Matt Ryan, cast?

While we would understand if you had a qualm or two with “Constantine’s” story-of-the-week format right now, at least some of these stories are reasonably entertaining.

Tonight was one of the first episodes when we truly bought into the show as entertainment beyond just fans of the comics, and we are curious to see if Matt Ryan and the rest of the cast can carry that momentum going into the next installment. While we don’t know too much at the moment, there are a few details that you should be aware of. The title here is “Blessed are the Damned,” and based on the synopsis below, we could have an interesting case of a preacher has powers that are a blessing, and could also be a curse:

“While in art class, Zed (Angélica Celaya) has a bizarre vision of snakes that lead her and John (Matt Ryan) to a small town where a preacher has mysteriously gained the ability to heal his congregation.”

The reason that we mention a curse here is rather simple, and that is because there are not exactly many times over the years when there has been a character who has simply had the capacity to do good. There is also some other shoe that is going to drop, and it will be up to Zed and John in order to figure that out.

Now, we we also have to hope that this show builds some steam commercially, and corrects its ratings decline that it will probably see for an episode on Black Friday.
