‘Homeland’ season 4, episode 10 video: On Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, and decisions

So far this season, “Homeland” has certainly been going down a road littered with craziness and intensity. Many have agreed that this is definitely better than last season and all the Brody chaos going on there, and we will give the show some credit. They have managed to completely stabilize themselves when it comes to telling a good story, and one with some genuinely surprising twists.

Another thing to boast about? That the show has finally figured out a way to make the Carrie character truly grow up a little bit. She seems much more together now than she did at the start of this season, when she was a ruthless drone-strike machine in the Middle East. She’s certainly come a long way from a woman who refused to let Brody go at any cost.

Now that we’ve said all of that, there are still some major concerns on the subject of whether or not the show can stick the landing. There are three episodes left, and the fate of Mandy Patinkin’s Saul hangs in the balance. He is clearly the character in the most danger, though we do also have our questions about Quinn as well. Has this character really had the most captivating story this year? We would argue not so much.

One other thing to remember moving into these final episodes is that at some point, we are also going to be meeting Carrie’s mom. This role was cast earlier this month.
