Black Friday TV: Is ‘Blue Bloods’ season 5 or ‘Hawaii Five-0’ new tonight?
Much like the day before in Thanksgiving, Black Friday is not exactly well-known by many as a great day for viewing television … other of course than the occasional marathon. There is not a whole lot of incentive for network to air new programming unless they are behind in episodes. After all, many may be traveling back somewhere after Thanksgiving, or they are crashing to bed early after spending most of the night standing in lines for Black Friday.
So with all of this being said, this is not a big night for new shows coming on TV. You’re not going to get to see anything at all when it comes to ABC programming, and to a certain extent, the same goes for CBS. While there is still a new episode of “The Amazing Race” coming on the air, there is nothing in the way of “Blue Bloods” or “Hawaii Five-0” on the air. Heck, there is not even a new episode for either show on next week, either. This is the network’s way of saving a ton of stuff for later in the season.
When it comes to new programming, we can at least tell you to head over to NBC. Both “Grimm” and “Constantine” are going to air some new episodes, and maybe these two shows will get a little bit of a ratings boost as a result of it. While the former certainly does not need it, the fact that the latter does not have a full 22-episode season should be a sign that it could be treading a little bit of water right now.
