‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Misha Collins’ Castiel finds Claire in winter finale
For some of its stories moving forward on “Supernatural” season 10, the writers / producers are really going back in time. As a matter of fact, they are tracing their way back all the way to the fourth season when it comes to “The Things We Left Behind.”
This episode on Tuesday, December 9 is going to be the winter finale for the show, and it is one of the few opportunities as of late to see three of the main characters work together in this capacity. Who knows? Maybe Crowley will get involved, as well! For the time being, though, we cannot say a whole lot other than what is in the synopsis below:
“Castiel (Misha Collins) finds Jimmy’s daughter Claire (guest star Kathyrn Love Newton) in a group home and she convinces him to break her out. After she runs away from him, Castiel calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) to help find her before she gets in trouble. Meanwhile, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) faces his biggest challenge yet.”
For those wondering, though, the show will be back in January, so whatever happens here, you can rest assured that there is going to be no significant wait following whatever cliffhanger ending that we have here … given that there probably is going to be one. Why wouldn’t the producers put one in here? The timing is just about right, and they want to give you that extra incentive to keep watching.
What we’ll be most curious about for the time being, though, is this: Why is Claire returning now? Why has it been so long since her first appearance?

I’ve said it many times, but I think Castiel is going to extract grace from Claire. Because Claire was Castiel’s vessel for a time.
