‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Misha Collins on eventual return of Castiel story

Castiel -Supernatural” has been quite a busy bee as of late, but in between the end of Demon Dean, the 200th episode event, and the show trying to reestablish the rhythm of the Winchesters working together, there has not been a whole lot of time to really spend on Castiel as of late. Given that he has never been a character to appear in every episode, even as a series regular, we cannot really say that we’re too shocked by this.

With all of this being said, it appears as though we are going to be seeing a little bit more of the character moving forward into the weeks and months ahead, as we tough a little bit back on the story we first saw for him at the start of the season. In teasing this particular plot to E! News in a new interview, Misha Collins had the following to pass along:

“Castiel is going to be faced with his fading grace yet again … But he’s also going to be faced with a character from his past.”

All we can really hope for when it comes to this character is that touching back into his past means some cool, exciting things are to come. Also, we hope it ties more back directly into what Sam and Dean are up to. We like Castiel best on the show when he has a little bit of intersection with the Winchesters; while they may still be doing some of their own thing, Collins’ character can pop in every week or two and be a part of it in some way.
