‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16, episode 8 video: A longer look at Chad Coleman – Meagan Good story

Law & Order: SVU logo“Law & Order: SVU” has assembled all of the pieces for a stellar episode rather nicely. Not only have they assembled a great cast for Wednesday that includes “Walking Dead” star Chad Coleman and Meagan Good, but they have a story that throws itself into discussions that are happening all around the country right now about domestic violence.

What happens when a victim happens to be married to a wealthy man of power, and someone whose reputation is tied to how he makes a living? What do you do in this situation? While Chad Coleman of “The Walking Dead” has been hyped up as the big star and selling point for this episode, you really cannot diminish the importance of Meagan Good’s character in this story. She is the one who will be forced into making difficult decisions about her future, and is also struggling to listen to the advice of Olivia Benson, who warns her that this man (an athlete-turned-sportscaster) is not exactly likely to change his ways.

At the moment, early buzz is strong for this episode, and when you have great guest actors, the majority of time you have a great episode. You know that Mariska Hargitay and the cast are going to bring it here, especially since they are very aware that this is an episode that will probably garner more attention than the average hour of the show.

Let’s hope for the best in this story, and that Good’s character does the right thing and gets away from this situation. Unfortunately, we know that this is a show that also does not always have a happy ending.
