‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16, episode 8 preview: ‘Walking Dead’s’ Chad Coleman in ‘Spousal Privilege’

Law & Order: SVU logoNext week, “Law & Order: SVU” is going to air an episode that brings this show back to the forefront, and ends the crossover that you’ve seen and heard quite a bit about as of late.

We do feel like this is still going to be an episode that draws highlights, and for a variety of different reasons. First of all, much of the plot feels ripped from the headlines, especially in terms of the issues with Ray Rice and many other NFL stars that have been front and center for issues of domestic violence.

Also, it is going to have a very prominent guest-star in Chad Coleman, who is probably familiar to quite a few of you out there already, courtesy of his work on “The Walking Dead” and “The Wire.”

You can see the official synopsis for this episode right now below, courtesy of NBC. Most of it speaks for itself:

“Detective Tutuola (Ice-T) comes across leaked security footage of a violent domestic dispute in a parking garage, showing sportscaster A.J. Martin (guest star Chad Coleman) hit his girlfriend Paula (guest star Meagan Good). While Fin and Benson (Hargitay) investigate the couple’s lifestyle and history, Paula pushes back to keep her relationship and family intact. Benson turns to ADA Barba (Raúl Esparza) for help to convince Paula that her world doesn’t have to revolve around A.J. Meanwhile, the case has an interesting effect on Rollins (Kelli Giddish) and Amaro’s (Danny Pino) relationship.”
