‘Chicago Fire’ season 3, episode 8 preview: How to follow up the crossover

Tonight, NBC kicked off what is a particularly eventful few weeks of programming with the latest episode of “Chicago Fire” season 3, which in turn marked the beginning of a crossover event.

You’re going to get more of a chance to see what happens next with this on some upcoming episodes of “Law & Order: SVU” and “Chicago PD,” so we’re not going to spend too much time on it here. (Plus, it’s only a day away.)

For those who are in particular interested in seeing what is impacted the Firehouse next week, “Chopper” looks to be an episode with a little bit of mystery, and a little bit of danger. There’s not too much story-wise that is brought up in the official synopsis below, at least other than a singular event that really kicks off the story:

“When a massive helicopter explosion in a densely populated area leaves a trail of debris scattered across a full city block, members of the firehouse spring into action as lives hang in the balance. Squad 3 finds itself in a precarious position, Brett (Kara Killmer) is cornered by a dangerous man in the midst of the madness and Dawson (Monica Raymund) is shocked to discover what actually brought the chopper down.”

Let’s just hope that this lives up to some of those expectations. We also want to see a few particularly great stories for the Dawson character right now, given that she has been a focal point since taking on her new role.
