‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 8 spoilers: Mark Harmon’s mission in ‘Semper Fortis’

NCIS -After a particularly emotional episode of “NCIS” on Veteran’s Day tonight, the show now has another challenge moving into next week’s “Semper Fortis.” It has to tell a particularly interesting tale that pulls the heartstrings in a little bit of a different way.

For Gibbs, this is going to mean him trying to defeat the system. This episode is all about Mark Harmon’s character doing what he can to help someone in need, and someone who is being persecuted for a technically versus doing the right thing.

Take a look at the official synopsis below for this hour, in the event that you have not already:

“While the NCIS team investigates the cause of a hit and run accident that resulted in the death of a Petty Officer, Gibbs searches for a way to clear a Navy Hospital Corpsman, who has served two medical tours in Afghanistan, after she’s indicted for illegally providing medical aid to the victims of the crash, even though the surviving victims swear by her life-saving techniques.”

This is going to be a great story for Gibbs, and really, we feel like it’s something that he needs. Other than being a curmudgeon and occasionally kicking butt, there hasn’t really been anything that personal over the past few weeks for him. Tonight’s episode started off a chain of big stories for him, and hopefully it will carry over into what is coming up moving forward.

As of right now, though, there is no other word as to what some of the minor characters are up to.
