‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Megan Boone, James Spader, the Super Bowl, and an air date

The Blacklist logo any seasonJust how long is “The Blacklist” going to be off of the air? This is going to be one of the questions that you have following the end of “The Decemberist,” which happened to be the last episode of the NBC show for the fall.

Let’s start off here with what we know for certain. The next episode does not have a title right now, but it does have an air date: Sunday, February 1. It will air following the Super Bowl on NBC, and it will almost certainly be the most-watched episode of the entire series.

With all of this in mind, aren’t the stakes a little bit high? You have to believe it. We expect some big guest stars, a big budget, and quite a bit of action to go along with it.

At the end of the episode, the show will then prepare for another transition to Thursday night. New episodes will air there at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and the show will compete directly against another heavy hitter in “Scandal” over on ABC.

What made the “promo” below after the episode all the more disappointing was that there was no footage, or even a teaser, for the big episode coming up. Instead, NBC chose to push instead the new series “State of Affairs,” and trying to make us believe that Katherine Heigl’s character is as cool as Reddington. No offense, but we doubt it.
