‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: LeVar Burton stages return
For those of you who love an extra dose of “Star Trek” on “The Big Bang Theory,” then you are going to be rather pleased to find out that someone else familiar with “The Next Generation” is stopping by for another visit.
This time, though, we are not speaking about Wil Wheaton. As first confirmed by TVLine, LeVar Burton is going to be making his third appearance as himself on the upcoming November 20 episode, where he will be a featured guest on Sheldon Cooper’s “Fun with Flags” series. It’s been a while since this part of the show has surfaced, and we are definitely always happy when there is a good spot to give it a cameo.
As for Burton, he certainly has been on quite a whirlwind journey this year already. His Kickstarter to bring back “Reading Rainbow” into schools turned out to be one of the most successful in history, with over $5 million raised in the end for the purpose of changing lives for so many young people all throughout the country. He also is a regular on “Perception,” and recently released a brand-new children’s book that has led to several readings all over the country.
Of course, we also figure that “The Big Bang Theory” is going to feature just about as many cameos from “Star Trek” legends as they possibly can before the show comes to a close. Luckily, they have a few more seasons in order to do so.
