‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: The alien equation; Melinda May’s choices

The alien writing has been a major theme of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” over the past several weeks, and just as you would expect, you’re not going to have to wait a whole lot longer to see this ultimately become a larger part of the story.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, there is going to be a moment coming up very soon on the show that makes Melinda May seriously question if Coulson needs to die (something he should be familiar with), based on some of his actions lead to a larger incident. Obviously, she doesn’t want to see that happen, but there will be a little bit of tension there as his problems start to become worse and worse.

The tricky thing that “Agents of SHIELD” really does have to deal with right now when it comes to this story is strictly an issue of creating real stakes on something like this. We assume that the Marvel movies would love to have Clark Gregg around for as long as they possibly could. Therefore, it is pretty darn difficult for us to imagine a whole lot of scenarios where the characters would actually consider getting rid of the Director.

Still, we expect the story ahead to be particularly excellent, mostly because the trajectory suggests so, and that we’re digging having Adrianne Palicki as a part of this universe already.
