‘Girls’ season 4 spoilers: Lena Dunham, Allison Williams talk new storylines
Given that Lena Dunham has been in the press a good bit over the weekend, isn’t it a good time to remember the reason why she became a public figure to begin with?
“Girls” season 4 is premiering early next year, and after a subpar third outing by our estimation, hopefully this goes back to being the complex, interesting, and still very-funny series that we remember from the superb second go-around.
In the video below, you can at least get a few teasers of what to expect courtesy of Dunham, Allison Williams, and the rest of the cast. Here are just a few assorted teasers.
- At some point, it looks as though Hannah is going to give Iowa a try, and Elijah is going to tag along for the ride. As for what this means for her relationship with Adam, there could be some trouble ahead.
- Marnie’s musical career is going in some very unexpected directions … and so is her love life, given that she is involved in an affair with Desi. Dunham claims that there will be many more “embarrassing” performances still to come.
- Jessa’s story is going to continue to reflect on one of the key tentpoles of the character, and that is her utter cluelessness in the face of whatever confidence she thinks that she has.
- Finally, get ready to see Shoshanna’s parents for the first time! This should be awkward, and also very funny.
In the end, it seems like “Girls” has set a strong foundation, and now it is just up to the writing and acting to deliver.
