‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6 spoilers: Chris O’Donnell hoping for Michael Weatherly appearance
Monday night, “NCIS: Los Angeles” is airing an hour entitled “SEAL Hunter” which is definitely not like anything that they have had on the air recently. For one, the entire push of the episode is Sam being accused of murder!
You can watch a sneak preview for this particular episode here, at least in the event that you really want to see some more specifics on what to expect in this hour. We’re going to focus on a different subject here: Crossovers! There have not been a tone of them lately, though we did see Leon Vance on the show earlier this season. If Chris O’Donnell (who directed tonight’s episode) had his way, there would be more. Speaking to TVLine, he expressed his hope to have Tony DiNozzo stopping by California at some point in the near future:
“We’ve got to get [Michael] Weatherly over. It’s funny: When we were filming this episode, he was driving down the street randomly. We were at a deli on location, and all of a sudden this [SUV] pulls over and it’s Weatherly. It’s kind of like your long-lost cousin you haven’t seen in a while! He came in like, ‘I’m coming on this year!’ I was like, ‘Great, let’s do it!’ I just enjoy him as a person. He’s very quick-witted, so it’d be a lot of fun.”
If Weatherly does stop by, it would definitely make for a very busy year for the Tony character. He has already made an appearance on the “New Orleans” version of the show, and it would only be appropriate for him to complete the trifecta.
