Discovery offers live stream for Nik Wallenda’s skyscraper Chicago wire challenge

Discovery -If there is one thing that we have learned about Nik Wallenda so far, it is that he is a very brave (but also very crazy) man. He has done some of the most intense wire stunts that we’ve ever seen, and they include him crossing a part of the Grand Canyon, and he also crossed over Niagara Falls, which was limited in coolness only by the hardness that he was forced to wear as a part of the event.

Well today, Discovery is playing host to “Skyscraper Live,” his new challenge that features him doing everything in his power to cross multiple skyscrapers on a wire in Chicago, which are not even at the same height. When you add that Chicago is called the “Windy City” for a reason, this makes this particular stunt all the more dangerous. There are no harnesses, and nothing to save him in the event that he falls.

Not only is this airing on the network itself, but Discovery, knowing that there is a way now to leverage the power of the internet for even more attention, is putting a free live stream online for all to enjoy. Take a look at it below. This features many different viewers of the action, and should get more people talking about this event online. With the increasingly high number of ways in which you can monetize your site using the internet, we are mostly shocked that this is not something being done by more networks to bring attention to themselves. After all, these events could lead to some potential viewers on down the line.

We know that for at least the TV broadcast, there is a tape delay just in the event that something goes terribly wrong.
