‘The Newsroom’ season 3 video: Thomas Sadoski introduces Don Keefer highlights

Our tradition of highlighting characters on “The Newsroom” continues now!

Today, we have a video via HBO that features none other than Don Keefer, who is one of the show’s unsung heroes to us. He is snide, intelligent, at times bitter, but awesome 120% of the time. Basically, he thinks that he can do anything and everything to make Atlantis Cable News the best place to be.

One of the other great things about Don is watching him evolve over the years. When we first met him, he seemed like he was stuck in the role of being Maggie’s jerk producer of a boyfriend. However, we learned after that his issues were simply more due to compatibility, and there was an interesting, multi-faceted guy with plenty of heart underneath the surface here.

Ultimately, this led us to the Don / Sloan storyline near the end of season 2, and now, these two are one of the potential couples that we are looking forward to the most when the show premieres on HBO next weekend. We know already that he and Olivia Munn’s character will be at least pondering a relationship, but one of their struggles is going to be figuring out when or even if they want to declare it publicly. After all, there are many consequences that can come with that.

Even though there are only six episodes remaining, let us still hope for plenty of time for Don to tell his tale.
