‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 4 preview: Comic tease of 50th episode ‘The Magician’
Typically with TV, there is not a tremendous amount of conversation or buzz surrounding a 50th episode, with one reason being that you don’t have to last nearly as long as you do in order to make it to the bit 100 milestone.
However, much like we’re a fan of celebrating half-birthdays, we are fine with celebrating the 50 milestone, which is what “Arrow” season 3 seems to be doing tonight with their new installment entitled “The Magician.” We’ve heard already that there are some enormous things planned for this hour, and you can get another sense of that right now courtesy of the comic preview below, which was posted on Twitter by executive producer Marc Guggenheim.
While Nyssa al Ghul may be the character being used in a whole lot of the promotional material for the show right now, the one that you are really going to be looking forward to meeting in here is Ra’s al Ghul. Early scuttlebutt is that the show has come up with a super-cool and very interesting way to introduce this character, who is an enormous part of the DC universe and someone who was surprisingly not being used by another property at the moment.
Of course, don’t expect “The Magician” to give you all of the answers on Ra’s right away. This story is going to be a slow burn, and one that takes a good bit of time in order to piece together and figure out.
