‘The Blacklist’ season 2, episode 7 preview: Megan Boone, Ryan Eggold, door aftermath in ‘The Scimitar’

The Blacklist logo any seasonTonight, “The Blacklist” aired an episode on NBC that revolved around many things, from an animal trade to human-hunters to Ressler’s addition to finally, some information all about that mystery door and what was on the other side.

Now, we have an episode coming up in “The Scimitar” that is going to be at least partially about picking up some of the pieces, and hopefully giving us some more answers in the process. For those wondering, Red’s also going to have some quality time with Zoe D’Antonio, who seeming did not recognize him tonight:

“When an Iranian nuclear scientist is suspiciously assassinated, a revenge ploy begins against a valued American. Red (James Spader) informs agents Keen (Megan Boone) and Navabi (Mozhan Marno) that a dangerously conniving hitman “The Scimitar” (guest star Waleed F. Zuaiter) has been sent to the job. Liz and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) find themselves in a tricky predicament as they investigate a surveillance lead. Agent Keen attempts to gather information on Berlin (Peter Stormare), while Red finds company with a woman working at a food truck.”

We expect not only big surprises in this episode, but also big ratings. After all, both “Castle” and “NCIS: Los Angeles” are airing repeats next week.

Ultimately, though, we just hope that the show does something big to make us buy that this “Tom is captured” twist is worth watching. As of right now, we’re pretty convinced that this is the worst thing that the show has done to date.
