‘Faking It’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Liam, Karma, and the ‘art’ of romance

Are Karma and Liam getting closer on “Faking It,” or closer to falling apart? The answer to this question may depend, based on how you view the sneak-peek video below released by MTV.

Basically, the subject matter goes as such: Liam impresses Karma with some elaborate work of art that is really her name in shadow form, which she of course appreciates. However, this sidetracks her from whatever it is she wanted to talk to him about … though it may have had something to do with calling him her “boyfriend.” She does it at the end, and he doesn’t quite know what to say.

We do have to say here that there is something a little weird with this entire scene, mostly in that Liam is okay with constructed an entire art piece dedicated to Karma, yet he’s not going to acknowledge her as a “girlfriend.” The guy’s a little bit strange, no?

Ultimately, those who like the relationship could argue that this is just a scene of Liam growing up, and realizing that he is going to have to take commitment seriously if he wants to have a long-term relationship. However, those who ship Amy / Karma (i.e. the majority of the fan base for this show) may see this as proof that nobody really understands and cares about Karma more than her present best friend.

This is not going to be a story resolved tomorrow, so don’t look for any answers tomorrow night. Heck, at this point we’d be shocked if it even came out tomorrow night that Amy and Liam slept together.
