‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5 spoilers: Another ‘Lost’ reunion with Rebecca Mader
Sooner or later, “Hawaii Five-0” is going to get so many guest stars from “Lost” that we could eventually see Vincent the Dog or the Foot Statue show up at some point. Or, maybe the theme song will be replaced with “Make Your Own Kind of Music.”
According to TVLine, Rebecca Mader, coming off an arc on “Once Upon a Time” and a guest stint on “Blue Bloods,” will be returning to Hawaii for an appearance as Nicole, a recovery specialist for a big insurance company. She’s a very smart character, but also not exactly what you would expect from someone in her profession.
While her storyline is tied to McGarrett, rest assured that Mader will share time onscreen with both Daniel Dae Kim and Jorge Garcia, who were both regulars on “Lost” for the entirety of its run. There have been many “Lost” actors to stop by here in some capacity since the beginning, and the list includes Terry O’Quinn, Henry Ian Cusick, Tania Raymonde, and many others. We figure they’d have even more if Michael Emerson, Emilie de Ravin, and some other actors were not already occupied on some other shows.
We really like that “Hawaii Five-0” makes an effort to tribute “Lost,” mostly because the show is a great source of affection for not just TV fans, but for the entire state of Hawaii. This show was a source of tourism, and there was a family environment that formed around the cast and community during the six years they were there. Unfortunately, we don’t feel like this helps them understand the ending.
