‘Survivor: San Juan del Sur’ preview: How will a tribe swap change things?
On Wednesday night’s “Survivor: San Juan del Sur” episode, you are going to bear witness to something that has become a tradition of many seasons in the tribe swap. We typically like the twist, but we’ve already admitted to some apprehension to it here, given that things we’re so interesting in the first place.
The hardest thing about a swap is if people are just drawing names out of a hat, it really is all about luck, and tribes may have a situation where family members are reunited, and things can change in a huge way.
Based on the preview video below, it looks like Josh and Reed are together on one tribe, and Jon and Jaclyn may be as well. Judging from the way that Kelley is talking about her dad Dale, they may also be unified together as he starts to tick some people off with his surliness.
There are some things that we’ll never understand when it comes to “Survivor” players and behavior, with the most notable one being why in the world you would ever intentionally do something to tick someone off. Being quick to argue, like Dale is, is an instant target on your back. Meanwhile, the promo also shows Jon drawing a line in the sand. While this may not bite him in the butt immediately if a swap saves him, it could eventually.
One other thing to worry about here, as pointed out by Natalie, is that the couples may decide to pick off all the players without a loved one. There are only four of these single players out there, and unless they are all on one tribe, they don’t have a majority.
