‘The Flash’ episode 2 preview: Barry Allen starts to doubt his powers

The Flash -Throughout the pilot episode of “The Flash,” we got a chance to see Barry Allen have a little bit of fun with some of his powers, and figuring out over time what he was capable of. In a way, this was almost the honeymoon phase of him figuring out just what he was actually capable of.

Unfortunately for him, the honeymoon now in many ways is over, and he has to figure out how in the world he can actually be a hero on a regular basis. In the sneak peek video at the bottom of this article for Tuesday’s new episode “Fastest Man Alive,” you can see Grant Gustin’s character go through a pretty terrible struggle as he tries to figure out whether or not he can take on a pretty powerful meta-human with the skills that he has right now. This one can potentially create clones (this reminds us of “Orphan Black” just based on concept alone), and he starts to doubt himself.

The real highlight of this entire clip to us is the dialogue from Cisco, who we are starting to feel is the male Felicity Smoak of this show who is not crushing on Barry. He’s just a fun guy, and a nice contrast to the deathly serious Caitlin Snow.

This episode is going to be extremely important for Barry figuring out that his recent dalliance into being a hero is not just some one-time thing. Hopefully, this is a precursor for many other awesome things to come.
