‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 debate: On Rachel Bilson’s Zoe, Wilson Bethel’s Wade

The latest -Even though “Hart of Dixie” season 4 may not be coming on the air until at some point in the fall of this coming year, we’ve noticed most of the public interest in still discussing the show. Thanks to that, we’re going to occasionally create a few debate pieces here and there this fall containing some information that we’ve heard, while also turning it over to you and asking what you think.

Today, we pose a question that really is at the center of the show: Should Zoe and Wade be together at the end? Given the hints that this may be the final season, it seems like you want to give Rachel Bilson and Wilson Bethel’s characters a happy ending. Haven’t they been through enough? Even if there is some ambiguity open at the end of season 4, it feels like you don’t want this relationship to be the cliffhanger. No matter want, you want to ensure that viewers feel satisfied.

At this moment, there doesn’t seem to be any other situation, at least romantically, where you could make longtime fans of the show happy. Has there been flirtation at times with Zoe and George? Sure, but it feels like season 3 more or less closed the book on that being a possibility. Also, we doubt that Joel is coming back into town, and Zoe already wants to be with Wade again. He just has to turn around and say yes for it to happen.

Another major factor in here is obviously the pregnancy for Bilson, which also forces the writers to get the two together quickly, at least in the event that he is the father of the child. This could be a way for the two characters to mature as a couple, while still keeping that essence of what makes them fun. Sometimes, there are shows out there where you see two characters hook up, and suddenly it changes things. We cannot see that happening there.

What we can at least say for season 4 is that Zoe and Wade will be addressed in the early going; you don’t create that season 3 finale in the way the show did otherwise.

Now, it’s your turn. Let us know what you think in the attached poll! As you can see here, the new season has already been filmed, but that is not going to stop us from speculating.
