‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2 spoilers: Crossover with ‘Daredevil’ could happen

Agents of SHIELD -Strangely, this is a thought that we somehow glossed over when thinking about the upcoming Netflix version of “Daredevil”: It may be possible for the character to turn up on “Agents of SHIELD.” Think about it for a second; both shows are in the Marvel universe, and since they love to keep everything connected (unlike DC, who has countless other canons out there), it seems like a good opportunity to promote one show with the other.

The only reason we’re not entirely sure this will happen is because even though Marvel and ABC are both owned by Disney, Netflix is not. Therefore, are they really going to want to promote the company in such a substantial way?

Anyway, this question was brought up at a New York Comic-Con event for “Daredevil,” and it was at least suggested that since everything is “connected” in some way, anything is possible. That doesn’t mean for sure that it will, but it would certainly be cool. While we just said all of the concerns ABC may have, we still feel like debuting the character would be nothing but a net positive for them if it happened on their show. You want to give fans any reason at all to watch your show, and with the utmost honesty right now, “Agents of SHIELD” really needs the ratings. Things have been a little bit of a struggle for Coulson and company this year with the numbers, and some of the earlier ones were likely reported incorrectly and possibly inflated due to a massive glitch that Nielsen recently copped to.

If nothing else, there are many reasons to still be interested in “Daredevil,” whether you are talking about the character, having Deborah Ann Woll on another series, or simply getting this genre of original content onto Netflix.
