‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 spoilers: When did Rachel Bilson finish filming?

You may know by now that production on “Hart of Dixie” season 4 is over, but when did certain cast members wrap things up? That is something we have a little more information on right now.

As the tweet below from executive producer Josh Schwartz makes it clear, Rachel Bilson wrapped up her final scenes as Zoe Hart, at least for the year, last week. This seems to be a little earlier than some of the other cast members on the show, at least based on when Wilson Bethel and Scott Porter posted some messages onto social media.

What is still a little unclear is whether or not these scenes were the last for the season, or the series as a whole. While The CW has not officially said that season 4 will be the end, both Bethel and Porter seemed to indicate that they had shot their last scenes as Wade and George, respectively. Given the ratings for the series and many other factors, it could make some sense that we are nearing the end of the road here.

In going back to Bilson, though, we imagine that it will not be too long before we hear about her and Hayden Christiansen welcoming their first child together. One of the reasons why the season 4 order was cut short was to accommodate her pregnancy, which was written into the series. Production was also started up a little earlier than usual so that the episodes could be filmed before she welcomed a child, and there would not be some substantial filming hiatus in between. This gives the crew time to go and find some other work now.
