‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 spoilers: Wilson Bethel, Scott Porter on end of filming
With production on the season now officially over, we can show you a little evidence of what we are talking about here. Let’s start with Wilson Bethel (Wade), who posted the following message on his Twitter over the weekend:
Thank you, Wade Kinsella, for these four wonderful years. It's been a mighty pleasure knowing you. #picturewrap #HartofDixie

To go along with that, you do have another message below from Scott Porter (George) that is of a similar variety.
Regardless of whether or not it is “official,” it is pretty easy to see why season 4 of the show may be the last. The ratings were not amazing following the move to Friday night, and with “The Flash” delivering a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic today, The CW may be raising their expectations somewhat. Plus, “Nikita” had a shorter episode order for its final season, and it feels like this series probably wrapped up their ten episodes in a way that can serve as a proper series finale.
It’s always understandable that you want to see a beloved series last forever, but if this is the end for “Hart of Dixie,” it had a nice run. It got to tell a fun story for a few years, and it did so without a whole lot of interference or politics involved. Also, it may have received a chance to get a proper ending. We may give The CW grief sometimes, but they are better in their treatment of shows than any other major network.
