‘Witches of East End’ season 3: What to do to help renewal prospects

Witches of East End -Over the past few years, we’ve followed the cases of on-the-bubble shows pretty closely, and thanks to that, have developed a pretty good idea of what can be done in order to help keep a show around.

With that, we turn to the latest series in question in Lifetime’s “Witches of East End.” The first thing you have to hope for is a pretty solid following, and it feels like the show does manage to have that. When it comes to ratings, at least the demo figures were reasonably consistent with the end of season 1, even if the total viewers were down by a decent margin.

So what comes next? Think along the lines of fan campaigning. Obviously, we do not posses the mind-control powers to convince a network boss to renew the show, but one of the best things that you can do is to continue to get the word out. Recommend the show to friends, tweet about it regularly, and let Lifetime know that you enjoy watching it. None of these factors will individually renew a show, but they do make it harder for a network to cancel it. Networks sometimes do need to realize that there are people who will be really disappointed if something goes off the air.

There are also petitions like this one you can also sign, and if doing something like this, the best thing that show can do is get it to spread so much that it becomes viral. For example, if an internet petition can get somewhere above 10,000 names on a list, it’s something that a network has to pay attention to.

Above all, just be passionate about the show! This is the reason why the show exists in the first place, since there are plenty other ways to make advertising money.
