ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ season 2, episode 2 review: Margaret Langston, queen of bones

Resurrection -After getting off to a somewhat-slow start on ABC last week, “Resurrection” returned tonight with what we feel was by and large a significant improvement. There was a far greater sense of mystery, and to go along with that, characters that cannot be fully identified as either good or evil.

With that, we start here with the mystery wrapped inside an enigma that was Margaret Langston. She connects to Jacob in the way that Caleb Richards did, and that is frightening. Plus, the woman has a mighty temper, and is never afraid even remotely to show it. She also seems to be compelling Jacob to do some strange things. Was she involved in that crazy incident with the birds? Maybe.

Nothing screams “red flag” for her, though, quite like the reveal at the end of the episode, which featured her finding some bones inside the factor. Was this why she was so darn angry at Henry for letting the factory go in the first place? It is one of our primary questions at the moment.

Also, what’s up with the sudden change in attitude for Tom’s wife? We don’t quite get it, but it’s much appreciated. Last season, she was angry about almost everything; now, she’s taking a new approach.

The only other news worth substance tonight revolved around more newcomers to the town, but also one in particular who arrived sick, only to promptly disappear later. There are secrets there to still be revealed, and we’re much more hooked than we were after the premiere. Finally, we’re going in an interesting, twisted direction! Grade: B+.
