‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Should Marlene King’s finale tweet have you nervous?

Are you going to see something shocking on the “Pretty Little Liars” finale? This is almost a rhetorical question. This is a series that tends to shock in normal episodes, let alone a big finale that has to be a game-changer to keep people excited.

During the season 4 finale, the events were set into motion to bring Alison back to Rosewood, so with that, the bar has been set very high when it comes to crazy circumstances. This is without even mentioning the midseason finale this summer, which brought the end of the road to one of the show’s most-beloved and notorious characters in Mona.

So while it is far too early right now to get any sort of specific news on the next big finale for the ABC Family series, we do hope that the following Twitter message from executive producer Marlene King should suffice as a reason enough to be excited:

“Breaking the story for the season five finale.  I’m disturbed by how disturbed I am.”

To us? This sounds awesome, mostly because we always like the show when we cannot figure out what in the world lies ahead. There are still plenty of characters left who could die at any given moment on the show, one of the real gifts of the show is that you don’t have to kill someone for things to be disturbing. Therefore, there are still so many other possibilities that you can still explore here.

The next episode of “Pretty Little Liars” will air in December, and as a part of ABC Family’s holiday lineup.
