‘Person of Interest’ season 4, episode 2 preview: A deeper look at ‘Nautilus’
After a premiere that displayed the struggles certain characters are having with machines, old and new, on “Person of Interest,” the second episode “Nautilus” will look to continue that trend.
What we know for the time being is simple enough. The story revolves around a number that is so mysterious, it manages to bring Finch back into the fold somewhat after at first being reluctant to take part in some of these operations again. Why this one? Well, let’s just say that it involves brilliant people, and in addition to that, the consequences could be far-reaching if the team figure out a way to change history.
Finch promptly calls Shaw about it, even though she is currently preoccupied with a few other things. Luckily, she seems game enough to drop those and play apart yet again. Like everyone else on the show, she has had a pretty tough time trying to handle the new reality that has been presented to them.
Do we expect things to really change by the end of the episode? Not entirely. It feels a little too early to undo everything with Samaritan that happened on the season 3 finale. We prefer that the show take its time, and to give us a few smaller milestones on the way to really make everyone happy in the end.
Eventually, we just want to see this story make at least some progress when it comes to getting the entire gang together. When that happens, we imagine that figuring out what to do next will be an easier task.
