‘Big Brother 16’ finale: Joey Van Pelt on pink hair, season’s progress, and more

Joey -Joey Van Pelt was the first houseguest eliminated from the “Big Brother 16” season, but she still came to the finale and had some big opinions on what happened. These chats are coming via WIBW, who had a man on the scene in Brian Haug for the finale.

This is just one of many “Big Brother” interviews we are posting tonight. You can see even more of them over here, so be sure to come back often throughout the night to see them!

On the progression of the season – “I really enjoyed how it unfolded. It’s a good example of [our generation]. We’re very harmonious. They get along.”

On her pink hair – “I was bleaching my hair out, and it turned pink. Sorry!”

On the Battle of the Block twist – “It put people more in a situation … It put more blood in people’s hands. Even if you’re off the block, you’re still bitter about it. It created controversy [among the people in the house].”

On that Team America play – “I would have been more entertaining! America was like ‘no,’ so they didn’t accomplish the mission.”

We do feel somewhat bummed that Joey was the first person eliminated from the game, mostly because she was going to bring plenty of drama and fun to the proceedings. Unfortunately, this is one of many regrets that we had about this season, which started out with a whole lot of potential. Really, this could have been insane in the event that she and Devin had each lasted much longer than they did in the end.
