‘NCIS’ season 12 premiere spoilers: Sean Murray on McGee – Gibbs scenes, Delilah, and more
Tuesday marks the return of “NCIS” to CBS, and that means that we’ll get many updates on beloved characters, some action, and the introduction of a new villain. You’re also going to see McGee and Gibbs in Russia, stranded in what is a pretty tricky situation for the two of them.
So what will this story give you? If you are a fan of Sean Murray or Mark Harmon, then you will appreciate some more insight into this relationship, and where the two parties are now versus where they have been in the past. Murray spoke about the experience of filming this to TVLine, and offered up the following:
“Mark and I had a really good time doing it. I mean, we had long hours, it was a lot of outside, night, exterior nights, and forests…. But it was a good episode. We wanted to kind of connect, to show the relationship between McGee and Gibbs a little bit more, and McGee kind of in a little bit of a more mature light, if you know what I mean.”
As for that relationship between McGee and Delilah, we’ve already seen her mentioned in a sneak peek. Murray feels confident that we are going to see the character again, and we’re inclined to believe him. After all, if the intention was just to write Margo Harshman off of the show, it feels like Gary Glasberg and the writers have had numerous opportunities to do so by now.

Well I’m a fan of Michael Weatherly so I hope that he gets to do more than click the clicker and be made fun of this season while Gibbs and McGee handle all the big dangerous scenarios and get all the serious drama. What do the writers and/or ptb have against Weatherly?

I don’t think they do. I can see them adding more McGee things in because he had been neglected so much previous to season 11. However, Michael Weatherly has some fun and exciting things happening on the show this season as well!

I think this season will out-shine both of those. Michael Weatherly even said that he hasn’t been this excited about doing the show since season 3!!
