“Sleepy Hollow” season 2 will premiere on Fox in just a matter of hours tonight, and we admit that as excited as we are to see Ichabod Crane take on monsters and try to reunite the team, we are just as interested in Benjamin Franklin.
This man was far quirkier than many realize, and he will make for a very fun addition to the show in the episodes ahead. What also makes this particular character so interesting is that Tom Mison’s character may very well have some surprising opinions about the man. Speaking on this subject to TVLine, executive producer Ken Olin makes it relatively clear just what their relationship will be:
“Crane can’t stand him. That’s the great thing. It’s very fun, because Crane is so proper and sanctimonious in a certain way, and Benjamin Franklin is so irreverent and so badly behaved.”
Hopefully, this character will be a nice added injection of humor, which is something that we firmly believe that the show still needs with all the darkness going on. After all, the more that Crane spends time in the present, the less presumably we’re going to have of the whole fish-out-of-water environment that we have seen him in over the past year.
We’re more than looking forward to seeing how Ichabod past and present learns to survive in this world, so stay tuned; we are going to have further news and updates, including a preview for what lies beyond tonight. Take a look soon!
