‘Ink Master: Rivals’ episode 4 preview: Is there anything Joshua Hibbard can’t sell?
On next week’s all new episode of “Ink Master: Rivals” expect to see the artists moving past the basics and start to get into some more difficult challenges and we aren’t only talking about the design concepts.
The preview for next week’s episode (available over at the official Spike TV website) reveals that the artists will be tested on their composition skills: Which is the way you arrange your piece, making sure that the smaller and bigger elements all flow together into a cohesive design.
The other part of this flash challenge is that there will only be 4 canvases that the artists will have to convince to get tattooed by them. This is something that we have mentioned in our “Ink Master” podcast a few times as an important element to tattooing (and business in general really) that if you don’t have the proper social skills and a salesperson element to your personality, you could find yourself with a very short or non-existent client list. Bonding and working well with the client can easily turn a potentially bad situation into a great one.
We have seen Joshua Hibbard convince clients many times over to move tattoos to better locations and talk canvases out of bad tattoo ideas, so this is really his challenge to lose. He’s made it no secret that he comes from a long line of salesmen in his family and he’s shown that he has that ability as well: This challenge was tailor-made for him…. will he get one of the canvases?
