‘Longmire’ season 4: Robert Taylor to join Twitter to support campaign … at least for one night
When a network cancels “Longmire,” the cast, crew, and fans fight back. We’re seeing that now more than ever.
One thing that we especially love about the campaign right now is that all parties involved here are smartly using outlets like Twitter to show their support for the series, especially since it makes the battle public and proves that fans are a social-media savvy bunch. As a matter of fact, this is even leading to the sheriff trotting into town … at least for one night.
Tonight, there will be another #LongLiveLongmire Twitter stampede taking place at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time (5:00 p.m. Pacific), and Robert Taylor is going to be joining the action at the account listed below. This is a critical time for the show’s future, and Taylor most likely knows this. We’re still waiting to see if another network or streaming service will pick the series up; there have already been some meetings, but the result of these is not entirely clear just yet.
Ultimately, the best thing that fans can hope for is to continue to tweet and spread the world that the show has a new home, since this is such a difficult thing to predict. It’s easier to tell whether or not a show should be renewed or get canceled compared to if a canceled show will get picked up elsewhere; it needs to find a home that believes in it, will be willing to put up the money, and it will fit probably when it comes to its other programming.
Who knows? Maybe Taylor will have something further to share tonight, but even if he doesn’t, we’re just glad to see him around these parts for a night.

Longmire is the best show on television since “Breaking Bad.” I will definitely support the network willing to pick up this great show. The filmaking which takes place in New Mexico is breathtaking!
