‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 spoilers: Meet a new version of Rachel Bilson’s Zoe?

Throughout the entire run of “Hart of Dixie,” one of the most appealing qualities of the show has always been that “big fish in a small pond” premise. For the first two seasons, that “fish” was none other than Rachel Bilson’s Zoe Hart. She still is at the center of the series, though last season the show did shake things up a little bit by adding to the mix Josh Cooke’s character of Joel.

Since Joel is gone, apparently there is someone else new coming into Bluebell from New York City! Per a report from TVLine, the show is looking to play a New York attorney named Olivia Green who is in her twenties, attractive, and capable of holding her own in any conversation. She’s not identical to Zoe by any means, but there are clear similarities from a story perspective.

Our biggest fear here is that the producers don’t just feel like Zoe is almost too integrated into the Alabama town at this point, and they need to create a Cousin Oliver type of character to keep that outsider storyline continuing. Regardless, the show’s so far into production now that this character will not be appearing until reasonably near the end of the season.

As for other general things to expect this year, a potential pregnancy for Zoe is clearly a big one based on all the reports that are out there about Bilson’s pregnancy being written in. Hopefully, the child is with Wade!
