‘MasterChef’ season 5 finale: Elizabeth Cauvel on her journey
Tomorrow night, “MasterChef” is going to have its final send-off for the season, and with our individual spotlights of the contenders, we feel like we’ve saved the likely winner for last now in Elizabeth Cauvel.
So why does she have the edge here? We feel like it is simply the matter of a few things, starting with the fact that she has a fantastic resume on the show already. Even when it’s looked like she is going to struggle, she found a way to get out of it. She also managed to avoid Pressure Tests on many occasions, and did well enough in challenges that it never looked like she was in too much danger. The biggest compliment that we can seemingly give her is that in a season full of personalities that often butted heads, she never had too many problems with other cooks.
Even the video below gives you a better understanding of why you should root for Elizabeth to win: She’s someone you can relate to, who stood in a lineup for hours in order to get through the initial audition process for the show.
The biggest thing standing in her way? Mostly just the fact that Leslie has shown that he can step it up when the pressure is on, and Courtney has also been incredibly strong all season long. Therefore, she is in a position where having just one bad dish could cost her everything, and it would not be the first time in the slightest that we’ve seen something like that happen.
