‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: The changes just keep coming for Sheldon
At the end of “The Big Bang Theory” season 7, one of the major freakouts from Dr. Sheldon Cooper was sparked mostly by all of the constant change that was swirling around him. He was not allowed to switch off of string theory, Leonard and Penny wanted to live together, and he couldn’t handle all of it. Therefore, he took off on a train to try and find himself, but we know already he’ll be back in California by the end of the September 22 premiere.
The great news about that night is that you are actually going to be treated to two separate episodes on the night, and the second one, entitled “The Junior Professor Solution,” looks to be tackling in a big way what is going on with Sheldon’s professional career following his return. Based on where he is sitting, complete with the desks and him having to wear a tie, we can imagine the comedic possibilities already.
Look at it this way: Someone is giving Sheldon an opportunity to condescend to students on a daily basis, and he won’t hold back at all given that he has zero attachment to all of these people. This sounds to us like a great story, and one we can very easily get behind. It also makes sense that Sheldon would not immediately get his old job back researching string theory; after all, the way that he left is not something that is typically smiled upon by employers.
Hopefully, we will have further news as we inch closer and closer to this episode airing, but there appears to be quite a bit here to like!
