‘Big Brother 16’ review: Jeff and Jordan are engaged … and not much else

Derrick -Tonight’s “Big Brother 16” episode was basically an exercise in boredom, and also production seeing how hard they can work to make an hour of TV interesting with these people. We love this show, but we were tempted to really watch more of “Utopia” tonight than anything else, given that most of the big moments from the game were already clear beforehand … and not altogether exciting.

The big highlight of the entire weekend was Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd finally get engaged, but that was something the photos released already gave away. Therefore, there was not even a visual reason to look forward to this.

Frankie won Head of Household, and of course we eventually saw Cody and Victoria on the block … not that this really matters at all, given that the BB Rewind twist is now in effect. Frankie’s win and the nominations ultimately mean nothing, and the only thing that really matters instead now is listening to Derrick try to weasel her way out of any situation. For example, he tried to completely invalidate the previous nomination of Cody, claiming that it only came about as the result of a Skittle draw. Also, there was some more lying in the Diary Room that came up at some point, either. Why does the guy continue to say that Christine is the reason that the alliance is so disliked?

So basically, you can watch the next two episodes of this season if you like the characters, but really, nothing else matters here at all. Grade: C.
