‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: See ‘new rules,’ Phoebe Tonkin in long promo

“The Originals” has only a month to go now until its October 6 premiere, but there is no reason to sit around feeling sad about the wait. After all, we have something both new and rather awesome for you in the video below!

There may be some footage within this that you have seen already from the second season, but we do appreciate that the folks over at The CW have sprinkled in some new moments here and there, as well. They include some more footage of Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) struggling with her transition and her loss of Hope (literally and figuratively), and also Klaus starting to realize how terrible a position he is in right now. His power is weakened, and Davina has created a very great weapon for the sake of his destruction. Mikael is back, and Esther is in her body. You have to know that this is not going to end particularly well.

Will there continue to be surprises throughout the journey? You have to believe it, given that this is what the show is known for. Who would’ve predicted losing two regulars during the first season? (Granted, Rebekah is still alive, but she may only have a few isolated appearances here and there now.) Also, the power struggle between Klaus and Marcel is something always worth watching, and we are very excited about the notion of Marcel having to get a little bit more involved once again.
