Even though Rebecca Mader’s arc on “Once Upon a Time” as Zelena may be over, we do know now where we are going to see her next: “Blue Bloods,” and in a different role that also has a certain wicked streak to it.
According to a new report coming in now from Entertainment Weekly, the actress will appear in one episode at least of the CBS Friday-night drama, and will specifically play the part of Tori. She is described as an ambitious and attractive attorney who is exceptional at being able to keep her clients out of prison by any means necessary. She is basically this show’s version of a villain, and she also has a history already with one of the show’s major characters in Erin.
We’re glad to see that Mader is getting some more work right away, and we do hope that all of this eventually leads to her having a more regular presence on American TV. Her most notable credit is probably still most-likely playing Charlotte on “Lost,” but she has also appeared on “Fringe” and many other series.
The new season of “Blue Bloods” returns later this month to CBS, where it will take on the challenge of continuing to be one of the network’s most-successful series on the night. The show has maintained a tremendous viewership over the years, even though it skews older than almost anything else on the schedule. (This show is a nice example that if you have enough of them, older viewers do still matter.)
