‘Longmire’ season 4: Robert Taylor sends out video message; renewal hope still alive
Out of all of the “Longmire” cast, Robert Taylor is the one we tend to hear from the least, and for a very specific reason: The man is not on social media. Therefore, it’s hard for him to really reach out and make too many public statements that you see on a regular basis.
With that being said, the man clearly wants everyone to know that he and everyone else behind the scenes are still looking to get the show a season 4 home, regardless of how hard they have to work to make it happen. The video message to fans below was posted by his co-star Adam Bartley on Twitter, and it is for the most part encouraging. He encourages fans to continue doing what they can to get the word out, and hopefully the combination of campaigns and then work behind the scenes by the people involved will lead to some good news coming out in the future.
We’ve already written extensively about all of the possible new homes for the series following its cancellation on A&E; we’ve come around on USA being an option, and we would put it up there with AMC, Netflix, and WGN America as the big contenders at the moment. AMC brings to the table the possibility of pairing it with “Hell on Wheels,” Netflix already streams the series, and WGN America is the underdog choice that could use a solid hit to complete its original series like “Salem” and “Manhattan.”
With all of this being said, none of these networks have come out and publicly said they are considering the show. It is just speculation based on our knowledge of the industry and of television ratings. We’ve heard that there are interested parties, but there is a difference between actual interest and signing on the dotted line.
Hopefully, we will find out something more substantial in the coming weeks, but you can sign up today to get some further TV news on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.

I am a fan if the days of Gunsmoke, The Wild Wild West, etc. they were some if the most popular shows ever. Longmire is that type of show. Why drop it and keep these goofy, x rated, no story shows??! WE WANT LONGMIRE BACK! And I am not old!!!!

Longmire was a wonderful show. We couldn’t wait to see it every week. It seems that shows like “The Dome” and bates hotel are supposed to be watched. I don’t even turn my tv on to watch them. Why can’t we have a good family western back ?shame on A& E

What is this about cancellation because of age? I am 19 years old and so is my girlfriend. We love this show! Classic western, no stupid drama, and a hell of a show! Bring it back for season 4!

Please someone pick this show up. My husband and I love it. We only watch 3 shows on a regular basis and Longmire is our favorite. A&E used to be a classy network. Now all you are left with are those dead brained reality shows. No thanks. I can’t even explain how much this show means to us. Its like watching a western and detective show all in one. Its well acted and the cliffhanger this last season had us yelling at the TV. Love, love. love this show. Bye bye A&E.

I agree snowdog, I already watch Major Crimes & Rizzoli & Isles, repeats of Castle & Bones–all on TNT, would love to have Longmire on there too, but I will follow the show anywhere it goes

I am hoping for AMC, TNT, or TBS to possibly pick up Longmire. I think it would be a good pick for AMC. We do not get WGN so I would lose one of my favorite shows on TV. Isn’t Warner somehow attached to TNT and TBS?

A&E made a huge mistake by failing to advertise Longmire either before or during the season, and then canceling it on a cliffhanger when it is clearly one of the best shows on the network. Will no longer watch A&E and I’m hoping that another (smarter) network picks it up! #LongLiveLongmire

I’m still hoping for TNT which you don’t even mention. Their new offering other than The Last Ship are weak and nothing I’m watching. Put Longmire on after Major Crimes and I bet you would see even better ratings. I happen to get WGN in my satellite package but it’s not a channel everyone gets or has available. I like westerns but just couldn’t get into Hell on Wheels. I’d watch Longmire but not Hell on Wheels so that pairing does nothing for me.
The Longmire cast in general has been quiet, except for Adam. Katee Sackoff who lives on twitter has been unusually quiet. One tweet from LDP, Katee, and Bailey so Robert is holding his own releasing 2 videos! LOL
