‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ video: Enter the creepy clown

For those of who have been eagerly awaiting “American Horror Story: Freak Show” becoming a little more freaky when it comes to some of their teasers, you are going to be by and large pleased with this one … especially if you are afraid of clowns.

Yes, we do give people with the clown-o-phobia (not technical term) a little bit of grief, mostly because this is almost a hipster fear for some people who want to sound cool for some reason about being afraid of something. Then again, there are others genuinely scared of them, and this is a pretty nightmarish teaser if there ever was one.

Also, we know that there will be a clown killer of sorts on the actual show, and this may be a much more important teaser in that regard than anything else we’ve seen in other teasers (including the one with the sword we posted yesterday). Can we expect this character to actually show up in the flesh on the show? Probably not, at least if we are following past traditions. These promos are meant more to sum up the thematic content of the show, and are not so much meant to be any sort of literal interpretation of what you are actually going to see.

Still, you have to be excited for October 8 to roll around now. You really get a sense of the effort that is being put into the show becoming a success, and you have to therefore hope that more good things consistently come our way in the weeks ahead … including some more creepy teasers.
